Aftertreatment Components Protection
Aftertreatment failures are the most common claim submitted for repair. And since the cost to repair today's complex diesel engine aftertreatment systems can be big, truck owners have found tremendous value in adding equipment protection to these critical components. Failures to any of the main aftertreatment components, such as the DPF filter, EGR cooler or SCR system, can cost thousands of dollars to fix, on top of the damage they cause to the hard parts of the engine.
That's why you need comprehensive aftertreatment component coverage from NTP. The ULTRA 2 program offers coverage on 42 essential aftertreatment components, including filters, tanks, injectors, actuators, and sensors:

When you include aftertreatment coverage protection to your NTP warranty, you will cover the 42 aftertreatment components as well as progressive damage they may cause to covered components inside the engine.***** It's the very best way to protect the business investment you've made in your truck from the high repair costs due to aftertreatment component failure.
See list of covered aftertreatment components.

It is important to contact NTP before you make any repairs. NTP will guide you through the claims process.
1. Contact NTP
- Using your Self-Service portal at portal.ntp-p2k.com.
- This portal has a feature to locate any of the 5,400+ repair facilities NTP works with across the U.S. and Canada.
- Choosing a Preferred Repair Partner will guarantee labor on the covered repair and may also reduce your deductible.
- Call NTP at 877-950-3200
- NTP Claims Service Representatives can help you locate a quality repair facility.
2. Repair Facility Contacts NTP
- If you are already at a repair facility, make sure you let them know you have an NTP equipment protection plan.
- Ask them to contact NTP by portal: portal.ntp-p2k.com or email: claims@ntp-p2k.com.
- As the vehicle owner, only you can authorize the shop to diagnose your truck’s failure.
- If the problem is not covered by the equipment protection plan you purchased, any diagnostic charges are your responsibility.
3. Getting NTP Approval
- Once the repair facility has diagnosed your trouble and provided NTP with repair details, NTP will work up an approval for your claim or let you know if it’s not covered by your equipment protection plan. NTP usually does this on the same day the repair facility sends the information.
4. NTP Settles the Claim
- Once approved repair(s) are completed, the repair facility will send NTP an invoice, and NTP submits payment to them for the approved repairs, usually within 1 hour.
- An equipment protection plan owner is responsible for any claim’s deductible.
- Please review your equipment protection plan thoroughly for equipment coverage, deductibles, and other details.
