With more than 25 years' experience with natural gas vehicles in vocational applications, we know the advantages and challenges associated with alternative fuel fleets. We're also working with government agencies, OEMs and alternative fuel suppliers to bring forth all the best and necessary information to customers and consumers. Some of our alternative fuel strategies include:

Penske has facilities equipped to provide full maintenance service on natural gas vehicles.

Penske is recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The office is administering a grant to bring more vehicles fueled by alternative energies to our customers, as part of our Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) Demonstration and Enhanced Driver Experience Project. With this project we expect to introduce more AFVs and technology to our customers at previously unheard of rates.

Safety Options

Penske Truck Leasing is committed to safety. That's why we offer Class 8 trucks with the latest safety technology, including Collision Mitigation Systems (CMS) and Air Disc Brakes (ADB). By using radar and cameras, these innovations can potentially help your drivers prevent an accident, reduce injuries and even save lives. In addition, they may help lower our risk for costly insurance claims.

Collision mitigation systems on Penske leased Class 8 trucks include:

• Active brake assist and side object detection — monitor the road, providing warnings and active braking to help prevent a collision
• Adaptive cruise control — reduces driver fatigue by adjusting speed in congested traffic
• Lane departure warnings — alert a tired or distracted driver so they can keep the vehicle in their lane
• Stability control — prevents directional loss of control and helps prevent the vehicle from rolling over

Air disc brakes on Penske leased Class 8 trucks provide additional benefits that safeguard and assist drivers. They:

• Enable shorter stopping distances
• Create better driver feel and confidence thanks to improved stability and consistent braking with each application
